Bibliography - GooDiff or how free software could help us from the legal gray goo? www.foo.be/goodiff/GooDiff-FreeSoftwareAgainstLegalGrayGo... www.goodiff.org/ Why such bibliography? To explain the paradox of introducing technology creates risks but can be a positive risk if users have the control on the technology, they can improve the society. Jacques Ellul provided the ground of extreme thinking for Theodore Kaczynski while Ivan Illich have a more positive attitude regarding technology as long as people have the control of the technological tools. André Gorz made the bridge between free software and the work of Ivan Illich. Richard Stallman linked clearly the act of using and creating free software to sustain a free society. Regarding the history of electronic music, I'll let you guess what's the relationship with a free society having access to sustainable and free technologies. |
