File:Sunny Leone snapped at Mehboob Studio.jpg[edit]

Way over aggressive watermarking that is clearly meant to advertise the website. Per Commons:Project scope, "promotional material is outside Commons' scope." Adamant1 (talk) 13:56, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Adamant1: Err, how does the size of a watermark determine the image's scope? --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 04:50, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Minorax: I think your question is answered by my quote from the guideline and my comment that it's clearly meant to advertise the website. Of course watermarks in general aren't a determinant of if something is educational or not, but you'd have to agree that there's a line between a good faithed usage of a watermark as a way to help identify the creator of an image versus one that (intentionally or not) is purely serves to attract people to a specific product or website. Or are you going to argue that's there's no instance where a watermark can serve as a form of advertising? --Adamant1 (talk) 05:57, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
